About Post Production FACE Sandals

Hello.

This is Noguchi from CASANOVA&CO.

Thank you to everyone who took a look at the HERILL Ramie High gauge crew neck that was updated the other day.

If you haven't read it yet, I would be very grateful if you would take the time to read it.

Now, this is the second time.

This time, it's Post Production.

The brand mainly produces leather shoes, but also a wide range of leather items such as leather wallets, belts, bags, and gloves.

This time, we would like to introduce to you the leather shoes that form the core of the Post Production brand.

We would like to introduce two new products this season: the "FACE Sandals" and the "Re-lux" which is synonymous with the brand and can be said to be the face of the brand.

But first, let me introduce you to the “FACE Sandals”.

For those who usually wear sneakers and don't know what to wear in the summer.

For those who feel that leather shoes are not enough, even in summer.

I already have leather sandals.

I think it's a great pair for everyone.

Post Production

FACE Sandals

material _ Fur Seal

color _ Brown

size _ 4(24~25cm),5(25~26cm),6(26~27cm),7(27~28cm)

Here.

In fact, this is the brand's first sandals.

Post Production is developing "shoe lace-less leather shoes",

The aforementioned signature brand, "Re-lux," is also a loafer-type leather shoe.

All of the leather shoes they produce, including side-gore boots and men's pumps, are laceless.

This is a strong reflection of Kai-san's way of thinking as a designer.

it is,

"They're easy to slip on and give your feet a neat look."

That is it.

They eliminate the need to tie shoelaces, yet add a touch of class to your outfit.

Because Post Production is dedicated to creating leather shoes,

Sandals tend to give off a very light impression,

It must have been difficult to create something that fit the brand's philosophy.

However, this year it did appear.

"FACE Sandals"

Kai-san is wearing these FACE Sandals.

Footwear that "looks like a shoe"

This is how it is expressed.

In the hot summer, lighter clothing is inevitable, and so lightness in your feet is also desired.

That means sandals are an option.

However, it still looks as if you are wearing leather shoes.

I think these FACE Sandals are a wonderful symbiosis.

On top of that, these shoes are comfortable to wear and made with excellent leather.

Let's take a closer look.

The opening extends all the way to the instep and there is a strap on the heel.

There is no opening in the toe area,

If you ask me if this is a shoe,

Hmm,

Sandals.

The heel strap is wide at the heel and slightly narrower on the sides.

The design is such that it looks a little sharper when viewed from the side, without compromising the heel hold.

Also, because the sides are narrow, they don't hit the ankle bones, which seems to reduce the risk of blisters.

It's a small detail, but I think it's been very well thought out.

The strap is made of fairly thick 'Vacchetta' leather.

Due to its structure, this is an area where some stretching and breaking in will occur, but I think it will still be durable enough with this thickness.

It also has a lining, so it feels very soft on your feet and is less slippery.

There are six holes spaced approximately 7mm apart, allowing for precise adjustment of the fit.

I'm glad to know that it can be worn either barefoot or with socks.

We think it would also look great paired with silk socks from Olde H & Daughter.

Sandals with heel straps support the up and down movement of the heel as you step out, so they are often easy to walk in.

I think this is one of the easiest walks out there.

While providing a feeling of openness around the instep, it provides ample coverage for the toes, which are the area where force is applied, and the heel, which moves vigorously.

When you put them on, you're impressed by how well-thought-out the balance is.

The manufacturing method is called the Bolognese method. It is derived from the McKay method, so like the McKay method, the stitching on the sole can be seen from inside the shoe.

The white stitching that is sewn through the lining leather is the thread that attaches the bottom.

It would be difficult to go into detail about the manufacturing process, so I won't go into it here, but when it comes to the FACE Sandals, they are designed to wrap around your feet, giving you a very flexible and comfortable fit.

I wish I could explain the characteristics of the Bolognese method in illustrations, but please forgive me as I have a terrible sense of art...

And the leather lining that we saw earlier.

This is Entrefino lamb leather.

It originates from Spain and has a very fine texture, so it feels exceptionally comfortable when it touches your skin.

It's chewy, fluffy, and smooth.

I think it would feel great to wear barefoot.

When viewed from the inside, the straps are firmly sewn into the Entrefino lamb lining.

This gives you a sense of security, doesn't it?

The buckle is also engraved with "pospro."

Now, let's move on to the toes.

The face of the shoe is the toe, so let's take a look.

When you look at the toe area from the front,

You can see that the height changes between the outside and inside of the leg from the toes towards the instep.

And now, looking from the side...

The toe area is slightly rounded and curves slightly towards the instep, creating a nice curve.

Generally, sandals are flat footwear.

I think most of them are put on by hooking the toes over them.

The word "tsukkake" is used to describe sandals.

Originally it meant "to put on footwear casually by hooking it around the tips of the toes."

But these FACE Sandals.

The heel is also supported and held in place by the strap, and most importantly, the shoe is designed to fit the shape of your foot from the toes to the instep.

Exactly

Footwear that "looks like a shoe"

The elements that Kai from Post Production looks for in footwear are comfort and elegance.

And the lightness that is desired in summer footwear.

These FACE Sandals are perfectly coordinated from toe to heel, perfectly meeting the demands of a unified post production atmosphere.

I haven't mentioned this until now, but this leather.

Fur Seal

It's a sea lion.

I had never really looked closely at fur seal leather or even fur seals themselves, but

I felt that there was a great gap between the look and the touch.

It looks very powerful and has a wild, rough look.

However, it feels soft to the touch and, although it has some bumps, is a very supple leather.

The raised parts of the grain have a nice shine, so it has the elegance that is required in post production.

Even for those who are used to wearing leather shoes or leather sandals, I think the Fur Seal leather alone is enough to differentiate them.

Available in four sizes: 4, 5, 6, and 7.

each

4 = 24~25cm

5 = 25~26cm

6 = 26~27cm

7 = 27~28cm

That's the image I have.

In my case, Noguchi, my actual foot length is about 26.0 cm on both sides, so size 6 was the perfect fit with just the right amount of room.

The size is fine whether you wear it barefoot or with socks.

By the way, when I wear Re-lux, the shoes are too tight and I wear size 5.

It has a relatively slim and sharp form, but compared to Re-lux etc.

Since the FACE Sandals have an open heel, I think they may be suitable for people with slightly wider feet.

In the coming season,

You can also pair it with shorts for a light look.

You can also wear summer wool slacks rolled up a little to make them look like leather shoes.

You can also wear them with faded denim to add a dash of dignity.

Although it is a character-filled piece of footwear, it is actually a pair that is both good looking and comfortable to wear.

Are you having trouble finding footwear for the summer?

Please take a look.

Even if you are not in trouble, I would appreciate it if you could take a look.

I will introduce "Re-lux", a name synonymous with post production, at a later date.
