SILVANA MANETTI "line up"

The limited-time event for SILVANA MANETTI we announced recently.

It will be held for nine days, from Saturday, November 16th to Sunday, November 24th.

This year marks the fourth year since the brand's inception.

We've been introducing it to you since the Fall/Winter 2021 collection.

As I briefly mentioned earlier, SILVANA MANETTI has been conducting "fabric research and development" using techniques found nowhere else in the world for 20 years, since 2001 in Italy.

Having continued for 20 years in the "specialized field" of fabric development, and in Italy where the world's best raw materials gather, it's no surprise that the raw materials used are fundamentally top-notch.

Whether it's "cashmere," "silk," "wool," or "camel," anyone can instantly recognize the superior quality of any material used.

And then there's how these raw materials are used.

That is SILVANA MANETTI's original super technique.

In other words, "how" the high-quality raw materials are "cooked" is completely "ONLY ONE."

When I learned about this, I was genuinely shocked and amazed to the core.

The fact that it's "neither woven nor knitted."

This is also at the core of the SILVANA MANETTI brand, and for the past few years, as a brand, they have not only stuck to that technique but have also achieved "further technological innovation," offering various options to those who pick up their products. The element of "neither woven nor knitted" is very important.

First of all, when considering stoles and clothes, isn't the "fabric" an inseparable and very important element?

The process until the fabric is finished can be roughly categorized as follows:

"Fiber" → "Spinning" → "Yarn" → "Weaving" or "Knitting" → "Fabric"

This is usually the sequence of events.

Of course, there are also dyeing processes, pre-treatment, finishing, preparation, and various other steps, but I'll omit those for now.

However, SILVANA MANETTI's ultra-technique differs greatly from the above process.

It's about "Fiber" → "Unique Felting Technique" → "Fabric".

That is what it is.

For ordinary fabrics, if it's woven, it's "woven"; if it's knitted, it's "knitted." Therefore, it's indispensable to create "yarn" for that purpose.

The raw material, "fiber," must be spun into "yarn."

However, as I've mentioned repeatedly, a major characteristic of SILVANA MANETTI's brand technique is that it's created without going through that process.

It turns "fibers directly" into fabric.

When I first learned about it, I questioned, "What does that mean?" and also wondered if they were just trying something unusual and eccentric, something out of the ordinary. I assumed that without much thought.

But when I saw the finished product, which was an ultra-cool actual item that "far surpassed anything I could have imagined," I was incredibly shocked.

Normally, I thought fabric couldn't exist without being woven or knitted.

However, SILVANA MANETTI showed us a world where that's not the case, and precisely because of that, it boasts a unique texture with its touch on the skin, lightness, warmth, and an overwhelmingly distinctive appearance.

The above-mentioned

The "unique felting technique" that directly turns fibers into fabric.

This is something that only SILVANA MANETTI can truly achieve.

Normally, the way to make felt is to repeatedly stab it with many needles, like a "needle punch."

Or,

It's said to be a method of forcefully solidifying it with chemicals.

However, SILVANA MANETTI is said to have three dedicated machines in its so-called "lab," which it uses differently depending on the felt's strength.

Or rather, they apparently "modified" machines originally used for other purposes and created new ones.

Therefore, SILVANA MANETTI's original fabric is created using those machines, without needles or chemicals, but with "intense kneading" using rollers and water.

Prepare to be amazed by its touch and the utterly stunning coolness of the actual product.

Well, I know taste is subjective, but I truly love what SILVANA MANETTI does, so I think those who feel the same way will really appreciate it.

Additionally, they incorporate "hand-painting" and craftsmanship utilizing the oldest photographic technique, "cyanotype," in addition to the aforementioned techniques, so no one can imitate their fabric-making process.

We have a variety of items prepared for the event period; please take a look at some of them.

SILVANA MANETTI

HARRY

material _ WOOL 60%,CASHMERE 40%

size _ 70cm×185cm

This is a large stole made of dark blue and burgundy wool felt, with what appears to be undyed light brown cashmere fixed to it.

Either side can be the front.

To leverage the fabric's characteristics, there are no seams at the edges, resulting in a natural stole edge.

And since the colors overlap in the felt, there's an ambiguous border of color change.

With its deep colors and the sheer volume of high-quality fibers directly incorporated into the fabric, it boasts an incredibly distinctive texture.

As you use it repeatedly in the cold season, the moisture and friction will accumulate, leading to further unique changes.

It becomes incredibly soft, offering an unparalleled comfort.

SILVANA MANETTI

LIGHT 100L

material _ WOOL 80%,SILK 20%

A stole combining a wool side and a silk side.

Although different materials are used in the same color, you can still perceive the contrast between the fibers.

This is from SILVANA MANETTI's "PERMANENT COLLECTION."

SILVANA MANETTI

PAINTING 400

material _ CASHMERE 50%,SILK 50%

size _ 80cm×190cm

This is an early brand model.

It is composed of an undyed cashmere fiber side and a silk fiber side, with hand-painting applied to the silk side.

This model features two fibers directly fixed together like felt, offering an astonishing feel against the skin.

I also use the same model from three years ago, and after continuous use and washing, it has transformed into an incredibly soft and textured item.

"THE Ultimate Fiber Mass."

SILVANA MANETTI

FRANCISCO

material _ CASHMERE 80%,SILK 20%

size _ 100cm×64cm×64cm

Not just stoles, but also scarf-type items like this.

A triangular scarf.

This model features a technique newly introduced by SILVANA MANETTI in recent years.

Can you tell?

The brand calls it "cashmere canvas," but it involves intertwining and fixing cashmere fibers and silk fibers onto a plain-woven cashmere fabric made with extremely fine threads.

It's "double cashmere" with "cashmere fiber" and "cashmere yarn."

Black cashmere with brown silk, perhaps.

It's wonderful.

Even for those who don't wear scarves or large stoles in winter, a small scarf type like this would be quite suitable.

In the picture, it's tied in a loose knot, but as I'll show at the end, there was a leather scarf clip from last season's Spring/Summer collection.

This season, it wasn't in the collection, but because so many customers requested it, we're holding this event, and I asked the brand to make it again.

For a small size like this, I think it would be excellent, to say the least, to secure it with that leather clip.

SILVANA MANETTI

CLOUD

material _ CASHMERE 70%,WOOL 20%,NYLON 10%

size _ 160cm×95cm×95cm

This one, instead of "cashmere canvas" like before, uses "nylon mesh" as its base.

Even though it's nylon mesh, with a brand of this caliber, there's absolutely none of that nylon stiffness.

It's probably a mesh base that no one would even realize is nylon.

The edges are framed with a mass of burgundy wool felt, and the entire scarf is covered with soft, undyed cashmere fibers.

SILVANA MANETTI

PRIMAVERA (SPRING)

material _ MODAL 40%,WOOL 40%,CASHMERE 20%

size _ 70cm×180cm

This is a new series from this collection.

It's a stole that expresses the seasons: SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN, and WINTER.

It feels cool but smooth, lightweight, and soft. Modal material is woven into a loosely plain-woven fabric, onto which wool and cashmere fibers are fixed.

This series, measuring 70cm x 180cm, is a versatile size for a stole, being long vertically.

The very vibrant and eye-catching colors that express "SPRING," along with the sense of felting color combinations.

ESTATE (SUMMER)

material _ MODAL 40%,WOOL 40%,CASHMERE 20%

size _ 70cm×180cm

The season series all have the same blend and size.

SUMMER, based on pale hues.

SILVANA MANETTI

AUTUNNO (AUTUMN)

material _ MODAL 40%,WOOL 40%,CASHMERE 20%

size _ 70cm×180cm

Autumn.

Perhaps inheriting summer, or as a season of vibrant colors, it's a representation that blends warm hues with vividness.

INVERNO (WINTER)

material _ MODAL 40%,WOOL 40%,CASHMERE 20%

size _ 70cm×180cm

Winter.

Deep and distinct winter hues.

Super cool.

Experience the seasonal expression of SILVANA MANETTI in person.

SILVANA MANETTI

CHAGAL (BLANKET)

material _ WOOL 70%,SILK 20%,CAMEL 10%

size _ 110cm×170cm

This is a blanket.

It's a thicker wool felt with a tighter weave than the felt used for stoles.

Based on white wool felt, the silk fibers are likely the shiny white ones.

It has an incredibly cool appearance.

When it comes to a blanket, the increased surface area and thickness are truly impressive.

The way the fibers are fixed together creates a completely different atmosphere than ordinary products.

It would also make a great outerwear piece.

SILVANA MANETTI

ROTHKO (BLANKET)

material _ WOOL 100%

size _ 120cm × 170cm

This is also a blanket-sized item.

During the event, there will be about four other variations of blankets available, but this one is relatively lighter than the others.

A blanket with deep blue wool felt and very effective brown and grey wool fibers.

About four more types of blankets are planned to be displayed in addition to this one.

And also, archives that the brand has created over the years.

SILVANA MANETTI

VIKINGO

material _ CAMEL 60%,WOOL 40%

size _ 40cm×180cm

In contrast to the blanket-sized item mentioned earlier, this one is a long and narrow scarf type.

There's a light blue one that catches the eye, and...

SILVANA MANETTI

VIKINGO

material _ CAMEL 60%,WOOL 40%

size _ 40cm×180cm

A dark-toned one featuring brown and navy.

Although it's hard to tell from the photos, this scarf is created by felting undyed camel fibers using SILVANA MANETTI's advanced technique, then attaching dyed wool fibers to form a striped pattern.

Another distinctive feature is the different shades on the front and back surfaces.

I believe it's a striped scarf that is not at all casual.

And then, there's this as well.

SILVANA MANETTI

ABSTRACT

material _ CASHMERE 95%,WOOL 5%

size _ 70cm × 185cm

Was this two years ago?

It's a scarf that is almost entirely cashmere, at 95% cashmere, with cashmere and wool fibers laid on a cashmere canvas.

The fibers of beige, black, bordeaux, and brown on the white fabric create an immense mood, so I ordered a considerable quantity.

And gradually, the stock decreased, and it should be completely sold out this year.

ABSTRACT boasts a double touch and mood of "cashmere yarn" and "cashmere fiber."

SILVANA MANETTI

MAGIA

material _ CASHMERE 64%,SILK 27%,CAMEL 9%

size _ 85cm×185cm

This is a scarf with an astonishing material composition.

It uses "cashmere mesh" as a base, onto which cashmere, silk, and camel fibers are felted and fixed.

Black cashmere mesh with black cashmere and silk.

It's a scarf that gives the impression of a dim light emerging from deep black, with mottled light brown camel fibers fixed onto it.

Given its extremely high material composition, the price is understandably high, and while there were a few available last season, this time there's only one.

It's a really good item, so please do come and see it in person.

And, it's not just winter-specific items; we also have year-round options available.

SILVANA MANETTI

BUTTERFLY

material _ COTTON 60%,SILK 40%

Looking at the composition alone, it might seem like something you'd occasionally see in shirt fabrics, but it's completely different.

It's a soft twill weave, incredibly soft to the touch, and the quality of the raw materials shines through.

I think having cotton in it adds strength and fullness, making it feel more secure than 100% silk.

And on that fabric, there are multiple layers of hand-painting, creating the BUTTERFLY.

It might be good not just as a scarf, but also draped over the shoulders depending on the season.

SILVANA MANETTI

IBISCUS

material _ COTTON 60%,SILK 40%

This is also the same fabric as before.

It's nearly square, so it's probably best to fold it into a triangle and then roll it up before using.

The world's oldest photographic technique, "cyanotype."

It's a superhuman technique that applies the method of developing colors using sunlight (UV light) to scarves.

I also use cyanotype scarves almost every day, and this "blue" is seriously cool.

While there aren't many cyanotype items, I've prepared a few.

SILVANA MANETTI

CLIP KNOT

material _ COW LEATHER

Finally, this.

As mentioned earlier, it wasn't in this collection, but I requested it, and they made the CLIP KNOT, which doubles as a scarf ring.

The black one has a strong chrome-tanned feel with a soft texture, while the natural color one is full vegetable-tanned and initially stiff.

It will gradually age and change over time.

There's a magnet inside, so it sticks to metal hangers.

The magnet is quite strong, so I think those who use scarves will find it very versatile.

As announced, the limited-time SILVANA MANETTI event will start on Saturday, the 16th.

During the event, we'll have about three times as many variations as I introduced today.

Isn't it amazing? Such a grand selection.

If you're a fan, please come and visit with anticipation.
