SARTO Spring/Summer 2025 Vol.2

Only when beauty resides in the details can something beautiful be created.

As the title suggests, this is the second installment of SARTO.

I talked about something similar during last year's leather jacket release, but the opening line is something I deeply felt again.

The two garments I'm introducing today could be called SARTO's signatures.

Perhaps that's why I felt the fundamental aspects of the brand anew.

This time, Nakayama from CASANOVA&CO will be presenting.

I hope you'll enjoy reading it.

Let's get started.

The first item is a pullover.

SARTO

EMBROIDERY PULL OVER

Embroidered shirts seem to have become more common on social media since the beginning of this year.

Perhaps I'm just more sensitive to embroidery after seeing SARTO's shirts, but that's how I feel.

However, among them, SARTO's embroidery feels exceptionally high quality.

The excellent taste in patterns is a given, but the embroidery is beautifully crafted, utilizing the color of the thread, the three-dimensionality of the stitching, and the thickness of the thread.

It's like a sculptural work.

Within the ethnic pattern, there are plump, swollen parts and tightly stitched, firm parts.

Just staring at this alone is fascinating. The visual impact is incredible.

It even goes on the sleeves.

SARTO's sense of style lies in the fact that the shirt's shape isn't a resort-like Western or open-collared shirt, despite this embroidery.

The generous curve of the sleeves and the relaxed fit of the body evoke a farmer's smock.

There's also a "amefurashi" (rain shower) detail on the shoulders.

The cuffs are tucked, gathering the fabric.

If I were to talk about sleeve construction, it would take an incredibly long time, but it's designed with the intense, rich patterning found in authentic clothing.

SARTO's incredible garment construction is evident in the sleeves alone.

It's a super chemical reaction of combinations that are beyond words.

SARTO is amazing.

As I've been saying since the previous blog, I feel that without such robust garment construction in every detail, it would be difficult to even establish this brand.

When you notice the meticulous details, you really feel the immense accumulation of work by the SARTO team.

Because even though I haven't seen such specifications before, I find them beautiful.

Those who create such things must have undergone immense training.

Otherwise, such beautiful things cannot be made.

The EMBROIDERY PULL OVER truly showcases the brand's graphic sensibility, incredible garment construction quality, and abundant range of ideas.

It is truly a signature piece.

The back features a tuck at the neckline, consolidating the generously proportioned fabric.

If you look closely at the collar, you'll see stitching near the center.

Yes, it's a crescent-shaped stand collar.

There's even a pocket for collar stays under the collar points.

It's a specification that's like a workaround to maintain the collar's self-supporting nature, as attaching a stand collar isn't compatible with the characteristics of a skipper design.

They devise the optimal specifications themselves.

However, when you wear SARTO clothes, you don't feel any tension.

It feels like holiday fashion.

That's right, it's fashionable.

Fashionable, with precise construction, and suitable for everyday wear.

The SARTO brand combines too many qualities.

Nakayama is absolutely thrilled by how amazing this is.

The second item is the denim worn in the previous photos.

These pants are also a signature denim piece from the brand.

While they are made of denim, they are not jeans.

SARTO

PANTS TYPE 013

Denim, but not jeans.

Strictly speaking, denim refers to the fabric, while jeans refer to the garment.

SARTO's pants are not jeans because their construction is completely different from jeans.

In terms of construction, they are trousers.

While they are denim trousers, they are also packed with the brand's sensibility and precise specifications throughout.

As you can see from the side view photo, there is embroidery.

The pattern consists of connected diamonds, and the embroidery matches the color of the stitching.

The corners of the diamonds are also gently curved.

This changes the impression quite a bit.

If the corners were sharp, the eccentricity would be stronger, and I feel this is a more appropriate choice.

Since it's also applied to the back pockets, I recommend showing it off when you tuck in your shirt.

Speaking of pockets, the bar tacks are also quite stylish.

While jeans typically have bar tacks on both sides of the pocket opening on the back pockets, these also have them on the corners of the pockets.

I mean, it's already something that trousers have patch pockets.

Since it's a trouser construction, there are darts above the pockets.

A strange sight of patch pockets and darts.

However, that construction creates outstanding form.

It's a small detail, but the belt loops are also jeans-style.

And did you notice?

The stitching that connects the body is "triple stitch."

Here, it's a work specification.

I also thought it might be in the context of military denim.

For me, I felt that this combination is SARTO's expression of casual yet everyday dressiness.

The shaping based on the trouser construction, and the balance of specifications and stitching in various places.

The ease of wear due to its unpretentious dressiness and the embroidery that reflects the brand's essence.

Those who wear them will experience a sense of domestic euphoria.

The shaping around the hips is truly beautiful.

The crotch line that smoothly disappears inward.

The left and right patch pockets are also horizontal.

I think those who appreciate stylish denim will truly feel this sense of balance.

SARTO's signature embroidered skipper and denim trousers.

I feel that the brand's taste, experience, and accumulated clothing craftsmanship are abundantly present.

Nakahama has so much more to talk about, so if you're interested, please come chat with me.
