It's often said that autumn and winter are fun seasons for fashion, but I really dislike the cold, so generally speaking, I'm not that fond of winter.
That's why I seek out items and color schemes that make me feel even a little bit happier.
However, elegance is essential within that enjoyment.
That's where SILVANA MANETTI comes in.
I believe that textiles created with unique techniques like SILVANA MANETTI evoke a direct emotional connection.
While not everything is like that, there's an instinctive "goodness" that transcends logic and specifications.
An intuitive impulse, like being able to make a decision in one second just by looking at it.
"Wow! This is great!"
In that sense, it's similar to the feeling of buying pottery or paintings.
The image is that if it's SILVANA MANETTI, it just so happens that you can wear it.
And once you wear it, it's light, warm, and cool – simply the best.
I've been thinking about this a lot lately, but truly good things become "good" after you use them.
This isn't about the item itself changing and improving, but rather about being able to truly appreciate its goodness only when it seeps into your heart through the act of using it.

This work by SILVANA MANETTI, who excelled in abstract expression using fiber layering techniques, now attempts to express specific patterns.
Since much of the base cashmere fabric is exposed, it's relatively thin, neatly contained, and easy to wrap.
This should be wrapped, rather than draped.
There are many checked scarves, but I've never seen one like this.
For your first SILVANA MANETTI, I think something light and thin like this is ideal.

This one is also relatively thin, but it's a wool-silk blend.
I believe it's made by indigo-dyeing the silk base using the cyanotype technique, then layering wool fibers on top.
This one also fits nicely, so it's good to wrap it tightly, or you could let it hang and tuck it inside a jacket.
It's probably fine to imagine it being used like a silk scarf.

This is one of the brand's classic models.
It's cashmere silk and thicker than the previous two, so it's definitely quite warm.
It creates such a mood just by being wrapped normally, and surprisingly, once it's wrapped, it's not that flashy.
It's also nice that being a bit thicker adds volume to the neck.
It feels like winter.

This is a wool silk model.
It's about the same thickness as the 700 we just saw.
Among the stoles introduced today, this one is long enough to be wrapped stylishly.
Wrapping it properly can actually tone down the assertiveness of the pattern more than just letting it hang, so it's a valid option.
I had the impression that SILVANA MANETTI often featured warm colors, but this cool, shiny blue is also incredibly chic.

This is a different color variation of the previous one.
It's brown-based.
When draping it from your neck, tucking one side inside your jacket prevents it from slipping, so I recommend it.
It also gives off a professional vibe.
I don't know though.
The color and pattern feel very "This is SILVANA MENETTI," which is cool.
I wonder if many people also like this kind of thing.

As the name suggests, it's a very abstract piece.
Well, I think almost all of SILVANA MANETTI is abstract.
It's 95% cashmere, so it's incredibly light and warm.
What I felt most about SILVANA MANETTI when using it myself was its lightness.
It's so light it feels like it could blow away in the wind, but precisely because of that, there's almost no sensation of it on your shoulders.
And it's unbelievably warm.
When I ride my bike for 15 minutes in about 5 degrees Celsius on my way home from the shop, only my neck feels toasty warm.
Once you experience this lightness and warmth, you can't go back.
Though, of course, when I wear a suit, I'll still wear a plain THE INOUE BROTHERS scarf.
If you drape it over your shoulders and wrap your arms around it, it instantly becomes a light outer layer.
I often use it this way.

GEODE is a bit thinner than the two that follow.
With a blanket, just draping it over your shoulders is fine.
At this point, it functions completely as an outer layer.
If you turn around quickly, it will dramatically flutter, so please be graceful in all your movements.
It has a rather ominous impression, as it incorporates the brand's signature dyeing techniques.
However, once you use it, it's yours to do with as you please, so let's be free and have fun.

This is also a blanket.
It's slightly thicker than the GEODE we just saw.
At this point, I think it's thick enough to feel secure even when used as a blanket on a sofa or similar.
At the store, I tell people, "It's also good for draping over a sofa or keeping in your car," but for me, "wearing" it is the only option.
Being white-based, the flow of the fibers also looks like brush strokes.
Since it's thick, it has a moderate weight, so I think the drape it creates when worn is also beautiful.

This one is also about the same thickness as the CHAGALL we just saw.

The jewelry is mostly DAN TOMIMATSU, and the necklace is a secret. Lol.
Without changing anything else, SILVANA MANETTI alone can transform the impression so freely.
I'm not trying to say "it's best to own multiple," but I think it's a good feeling to look at SILVANA every winter, buy a piece if something catches your eye, or simply get through winter with the SILVANA you already have if nothing does.
That's why I haven't bought anything new this season either, but it's possible that next year I might be moved by the pieces I introduced today.
So, I think you can view it without much regard for seasons or such boundaries.
If there's a piece that catches your eye, just try draping it around your neck.
If it were pottery, you couldn't say, "Can I try arranging food on it here before I buy it?"
The beauty of SILVANA is that you can try using it.
