Hello.
This is Nakayama from CASANOVA&CO.
The title says "SUMMER," but this year, summer is exceptionally strong.
Summer is really giving it its all.
It's for this time of year that I've been waiting to introduce this item.
Not clothing, but shoes.
Leather shoes.
Loafers.
When it comes to loafers at our store, there's only one brand that comes to mind.
Post Production.
Without further ado.

Post Production
Saddle Loafer
material _ Hand Dyed Baby Calf
color _ SUMMER ORANGE
size _ 4,4H,5,5H,6
Glossy black is the basic color for leather shoes.
While many recognize this brand for its focus on elegance in shoemaking, I think this orange might surprise some.
However, as expected from Post Production, it's a testament to their craftsmanship.
It's precisely because they pursue elegance from the shoe last and shape that there's a exquisite balance between pop and elegance.
The color is a strikingly vibrant Summer Orange.

The shape is a new semi-square toe, the sharpest toe shape the brand has offered to date.

Pop appeal through color, and elegance through form.
Despite the pop colors, there's a certain depth to it.
A burning orange, inspired by a midsummer sunset.
It's as if it extracts both the sky dyed crimson by the sunset and the approaching night sky gradually getting darker.

A glossy, typical colored leather shoe could never express a summer sunset.
The material is Hand Dyed Baby Calf.
Yes, baby calf leather hand-dyed in the atelier.

Baby calf leather, which reveals a translucent luster from deep within the leather, is a signature of the brand.
I believe it's a bold challenge for the brand to finish that baby calf leather with such a different expression.
It's something that requires a lot of thought to imbue it with a different kind of charm, precisely because one understands its original charm so thoroughly.
It cannot be something entirely different.
It must show a different face while retaining its original charm.
I think this is something that only a brand that has once again confronted the charm of baby calf leather and believed in it can achieve.
The luster emerging from deep within the baby calf leather remains, while the orange, a quintessential pop color, acquires a sense of elegance.
The uneven expression of each pair, unique to hand-dyeing, completely eliminates the look of a mass-produced item typical of colored leather shoes.

Although perhaps only the owner will truly appreciate it, I feel that such traces of creation give meaning to wearing them.
And most elegantly, the shape of the shoe.

Because the new shoe last has such an assertive shape, its appearance exudes elegance.
This unwavering commitment to their vision consistently resonates with me, as if saying, "This is our definition of cool."
When I first wore them, I couldn't keep them on for a whole day, but knowing the brand's stance kept me going.
Once they've broken in completely, you'll be treated to a soft, enveloping upper and the firm hold of the saddle.
As it's the brand's sharpest shoe last, the toe, which pushes the limits of foot width, and the narrowly sculpted arch (waist) are simply irresistible.

When allowing for width in the shoe, the ball of the foot is usually where the shoe is widest, but I believe they've shaved down that allowance to the bare minimum, just enough to avoid discomfort, with the assumption that it will break in.
Yes, it's all about making your feet look elegant when you wear the shoes.

The toe also appears longer, and its almost straight form gives it a sharp impression.
Both the foot width and the waist are crafted narrowly, truly pushing the limits.
That's why the shoes themselves have a slender, flowing, and dignified appearance.

This is a clash between usability as a tool and the brand's aesthetic.
So, how should one wear these Saddle Loafers, which could almost be called daring?
Intuitively, I already knew which pants to wear.
I bet many of you have the same idea.
Pants with wide hems.
The toe shape peeking out from the neatly gathered hems.
I was sure that the mood of the Saddle Loafer would be reflected in the clothing.
It was exactly as I thought.
In fact, the brand also said they pair well with such clothes.
For me, one hypothesis, or rather, a near certainty, was their compatibility with IRENISA pants.

I assumed that they would generally go well with slacks, including their signature TWO TUCKS WIDE TROUSERS.
In the photo, I'm wearing SEMI FLARE TROUSERS.

The refined elegance of the Saddle Loafer combined with the alluring and beautiful design of IRENISA.
And then there's the vibrant SUMMER ORANGE.

If it were glossy black, the combination would be closer to formal wear, but with this, the compatibility remains, yet there's a casualness that evokes the season, I believe.
Elegant with a pop color.
A new frontier and a new discovery for the brand.
I feel that the inherent roundness of loafers also softens the typical impression.
So, I thought, why not try a combination with HERILL denim that has been worn out, with torn hems from dragging and frayed from my habit of kneeling on my left knee when hemming, like a casual version of Kaoru Hanayama from Baki the Grappler.
I also find the style from Takeshi Kitano's "Outrage" cool, a combination of pointed leather shoes peeking out from loosely draped hems.
It's about bringing that balance to clothing.

The characteristic of the last mentioned earlier creates a slender silhouette when worn, and due to its sharp impression, the slightly protruding edge and semi-square toe create harmony with the gathered hem, despite being slender leather shoes.

So, for those who wear full-length pants even in summer, I think it might be good to let them gather generously.
I used to be hesitant about showing too much of my socks, but this summer's heat made me realize I couldn't be so picky, so I made a decision.
Finally, I debuted long socks and shorts.
And to complement that, I thought, why not add Saddle Loafers to the footwear?
The connection from socks to slender leather shoes might make the legs look more beautiful...
Then, naturally, the SUMMER ORANGE would explosively pop.

The shorts I'm wearing are also from IRENISA 22SS.
I'm also curious about pairing them with sporty shorts; I have a feeling a chemical reaction might occur.
Oh, I'm not one to shave my leg hair.
I don't dislike the combination of old man legs and elegant footwear.
I knew it, but even in times like these, Olde H & Daughter's silk socks are wonderful.
The deep coloration unique to silk really stands out.
There are a few reasons why I'm talking about leather shoes at this time of year.
First, as the coloring suggests, I wanted to propose them as one of the footwear options for midsummer.
Second, since the leather is hand-dyed, I wanted you to see them during the period after the rainy season when there is less rain.
Indeed, as a caution, please be careful about water exposure.
Regarding sizing, if you already own Re-Lux, a half-size up should be just right.
In terms of measurements:
24.0cm = size 4
24.5cm = size 4H
.
.
.
This is an approximate guide for size conversion, where ○.○cm corresponds to a size.
If you have any concerns about sizing or anything else, please feel free to contact us, and we will be happy to assist you.
This pair is symbolic of this season, and it will add a fresh color to your summer wardrobe, which might otherwise become monotonous.
I feel that the vibrant colors also have a positive effect on the mind, allowing one to enjoy summer more.
If you're interested, please take a look.
