Today, I'd like to introduce BESPEAK, which is also becoming an annual tradition.
I wonder if this is the fifth consecutive year, the fifth time around.
At our store's DAN TOMIMATSU order event, we introduce the brand at the same time, so I think more people are becoming familiar with it.
However, let me once again share the brand's official statement.
BESPEAK is a bespoke jewelry brand founded in 2019 by designer Dan Tomimatsu.
Our rings are crafted one by one by skilled Japanese artisans after receiving an order from the customer.
With the concept of "rings that harmonize with mind and body," we propose the entire experience, from the time of consideration to manufacturing and delivery, as our design.
BESPEAK is the present tense of BESPOKE, a word that means custom-made.
We connect the wonderful culture of bespoke jewelry to the future in a form suitable for the modern age.
The brand name BESPEAK comes from the word "bespoke," which is used in the sense of custom-made suits and leather shoes.
Originally, "bespoke" comes from the phrase "Be spoken," meaning something "tailored" that arises from dialogue with a tailor or fitter.
BESPEAK was named as a reinterpretation of "Be spoken" in the present tense.
As the statement says, BESPEAK is fundamentally a custom-made ring brand.
Therefore, there are no "finished products."
You yourself, facing yourself, build it up piece by piece.
That time and all the twists and turns themselves become the story and value of BESPEAK jewelry.
Therefore, in my experience, you will probably need at least an hour to make your selection.
...or rather, I believe that if you can spare that much time, you will be able to truly feel the value of "time" that BESPEAK offers.

About two years ago, I also had my wedding ring made by BESPEAK.
It's a lot of personal information, but my wife is a hairdresser, and while she can wear her ring at work, a design that would interfere with her work was out of the question.
As you know, I work in apparel, so any ring would be fine for me, but generally that's not the case.
So, we decided to vary the volume of our rings as a couple.
Because men and women have different finger sizes, and above all, my wife is a hairdresser, so a bulky ring scratching a customer's head during a shampoo would be terrible. (laughs)
We kept the base shape and metal type the same, but set my wife's ring to a slightly more delicate volume.
