amachi. Collection 015 "Decomposition"

articles/blog_IMG_0106.webp

Hello!

This is Nakayama.

This time, I'd like to introduce two garments from amachi. Collection 015, which was recently launched.

First up, the first piece.

It's one of amachi.'s daily jackets, which also appeared in amachi.'s collection 000.

Meeting Jacket - FULL OPEN

color _ Mix Gray

Meeting Jacket - FULL OPEN

Here are the general characteristics of the garment:

・Wide body

・Wide armholes

・Outerwear that can be easily layered over a jacket or knit, becoming the outermost layer.

・Looks great with the collar standing up.

・Huge pockets (literally no need for a bag)

Apparently, this garment reflects what the designer, Mr. Yoshimoto, seeks in a jacket for daily use.

The pockets, in particular, are quite daringly large.

The photo shows the pocket on the left front body.

From now on, outerwear will be essential, but I think some people might also wonder what to do about their bags.

This large capacity will blow those worries away.

It even extends across the seam between the front and back panels under the armpit.

When there are such functional elements, I can't help but reach for it and rely on it.

Inside the large pocket on the right side...

There's also a pocket that perfectly fits a smartphone.

Since your smartphone has its designated place, you can still retrieve it smartly, as its name suggests, even if you put various other things in the large pocket.

While there is a Meeting Jacket in the Collection 000 lineup for this season, this one is made as part of the Collection 015 lineup, which has a seasonal theme.

The theme of Collection 015 is "Decomposition."

The fabric used for this jacket was selected specifically for this theme.

There is no lining.

So, it's definitely a bit scratchy.

Well, it's going to get cold for sure from now on, so I don't think that's a big problem.

The armholes are also designed with plenty of room.

It's definitely the season for innerwear, and you can even wear a jacket or a bulky knit underneath.

Without a lining, the weight is reduced, and it gives off a natural vibe, as if you're simply wrapped in the fabric.

The texture of the fabric is also pursued in a different direction than "the quality and texture expected of clothing."

One might even call it an expression.

This is precisely because it's a brand whose theme revolves around natural phenomena and events.

That expression is evident in the fabric, and amachi.'s clothing fabric possesses an incredible dynamism, feeling as if it's breathing with a pulse.

I also really love the organic buttons that come with it.

Dynamic fabric and organic buttons.

They just draw you in.

The edges of the fabric in various places are left raw, a small detail that enhances the garment's mood.

And this fabric isn't a heavy, bulky melton.

And yet, it's incredibly soft.

And this time, what I really want to convey is...

The color of this fabric.

When I first saw it under indoor lighting, I thought it was just a grey melton.

Then, when I went to photograph it and saw it in natural light, I was surprised and captivated.

It's not just gray at all...

The fabric I thought was gray had a much deeper, organic color.

The expression of the fabric changes depending on the color of the light illuminating it.

The gray becomes more intense, or it can look bluish-green.

It feels like multiple colors naturally overlap, making it impossible to define a clear hue.

This is it. This is amachi. My heart tingled. My嘴角也上扬了.

As I was taking pictures, I couldn't help but think I wanted to wear this.

If you think about it calmly!

The functionality and design of Collection 000 as basic wear.

And,

The fabric that expresses the collection's theme.

This is a drool-worthy collaboration.

What's more, this is...

Hand wash symbol.

You can wash it.

amachi.'s clothes have a unique presence, and some pieces aren't meant to be worn casually.

I think that's the beauty of amachi.'s clothes.

And I feel that being able to wear such amachi. garments is very meaningful and special.

However, just as amachi. has Collection 000, their clothes are thoughtfully made as garments.

So, it's up to the wearer how they choose to wear amachi.'s clothes.

I myself wear amachi.'s clothes with entirely different brands like IRENISA, nonnotte, and OLDE HOMESTEADER.

I even recently started to think that this might be the true essence of amachi.'s clothing.

These are clothes that are not as difficult to wear as they might seem when viewed in isolation.

It's a little big on me at 165cm and 47kg, but please just get a feel for the atmosphere.

With the complex colors of the fabric, it has a very deep and profound atmosphere.

Even though it's a bit oversized for me, it fits quite well, and even with a jacket underneath, it doesn't feel bulky.

As I mentioned earlier, it looks good even with the collar standing up.

Precisely because it's something created with intent and a desire to express something, it can be worn as a fashion statement, and also in a way that truly embodies the wearer's intention of "I want to wear this."

That's why I believe amachi.'s clothes are timeless.

If you can visit the store, please try it on casually.

I think you'll feel it!

Next up is knitwear.

I personally look forward to amachi.'s knitwear every year during the autumn/winter season.

Our store carries brands strong in knitwear like MOTHER HAND artisan and KAKAN, which debuted this year, but amachi.'s knitwear is also highly unique.

And there's an expression unique to amachi.'s knitwear, with a very high affinity between the "knitting pattern" and the brand's "expressive power."

It's not about being non-itchy or light and warm, so it has an appeal that isn't about specs or anything like that.

The sheer power emanating from its high expressive capability.

I guarantee the quality.

Because it's incredible.

Macrocell Knit

color _ Blue

size _ 5

A knit woven by irregularly changing four types of knitting patterns like tiles.

So, even if you look at the back, there are no traces of being sewn together like a patchwork.

There are also natural unevennesses with adjacent knitting patterns, making it look as if decomposed knitting patterns have been re-knitted as a single knit.

These two knitting patterns are the differences between the front and back of the same knit.

Also, there's a knitting pattern with a strong texture like this.

This knit has truly become a symbolic piece for this season's Collection 015 theme, "Decomposition."

Delving deeper into decomposition, it brings to mind the opposing concepts of "restoration," "repair," and "regeneration," which involve returning to an original form, taking on a different form again, or upgrading and then reforming.

I felt precisely that relationship in this knit.

Originally, these knits were made with different knitting patterns.

They were decomposed and reborn into something new that didn't exist before.

Perhaps it's a knit that was born precisely because of decomposition.

Decomposition can be seen as both the end of things and beings, and a process to embrace a new beginning.

I've strayed from the topic of clothing.

This knit is one piece that amachi. expressed as clothing as a result of confronting the theme of "decomposition."

When actually worn, it's impressive and vibrant, yet very comfortable.

Again, it's a little big on me at 165cm and 47kg, but please just get a feel for the atmosphere.

It has side slits and an open hem.

Pocket access is also easy.

This knit truly reflects the collection's theme, making it a quintessential amachi. piece.

It's a very special piece, so I think it will add color and excitement to the everyday act of wearing clothes.

In addition to the knitwear introduced this time, there are also other incredibly powerful and dynamic knits available at the store, so I hope you'll take a look.

They are truly amazing.

Also, the pants I'm wearing in the photos are also from this season's amachi. collection, so I plan to introduce them at a later date.

It will be a jacket and pant set-up.

They are available on the online store for viewing.

If you're interested, please check them out at the store or on our online site!
