John Alexander Skelton "CXVI Lineup"

Today, John Alexander Skelton.

This collection is different from the previous one in terms of what is expressed through the clothes, so the patterns and colors look different, but the brand's clothing construction techniques and unique mood are still strongly present.

I think you can really feel the essence of John Alexander Skelton from the clothes themselves.

We hope to be able to introduce more details about the clothes at a later date, but for now, please take a look at the lineup that our store, CASANOVA&CO., will be carrying from this collection.

John Alexander Skelton

Clink Shirt

Material: 100% cotton

color _ HERALDIC PRINT

Size: S, M

This is a 100% cotton hand-woven fabric made in India that has been hand screen-printed and then used as the reverse side.

This hand-painted print design is said to date back to the 13th century. It is said to be based on a brass rubbing depicting a coat of arms .

The fabric is used on the reverse side to create a faded pattern, which is a reference to the old 13th century russellation shown above.

The Clink Shirt is a style that symbolizes John Alexander Skelton's shirts.

The outline is sharp, yet has both contained and open areas to match the contours of the upper body.

This shirt allows you to really experience the structure of the brand's clothing.

We also sold the Clink Shirt in our previous collection, but this shirt has a curved chest pocket that was not included in the previous collection. Included with this collection .

Even clothes with the same name seem to have different details for each collection.

I think this will change little by little as we express it through our brand.

Gathered Clink Shirt

Material: 100% cotton

color _ GOTHIC FLORAL

Size: S, M

Next, this.

The Gathered Clink Shirt is a little different from the Clink Shirt mentioned earlier, but it creates an incredible shape when worn.

There are gathers at the join between the front body and the yoke, and plenty of gathers at the join between the back yoke and the back body.

These three gathers allow all of the gathered fabric to be released at the body.

The shape when worn is overwhelming.

Because the clothes are structured like this, in order to create the outline, we use fabric that has a sense of firmness and density, and this fabric is also hand-woven in India.

This is also hand-drawn screen printed.

The design is based on patterns from Gothic sculpture and painting from around the 15th century, part of the Gothic style that prevailed in Europe from the 12th to the 15th centuries.

This isn't just a repeat of the print, but the width gradually changes.

The garment is then dyed with natural dyes in the atelier, which makes the pattern look slightly faded.

Urchin Shirt

Material: 100% cotton

color _ INVERTED GOTHIC FLORAL

Size: S, M

This shirt is also handwoven from 100% cotton.

The shape is completely different from the Clink Shirt series mentioned earlier.

The neck dimensions and the downward slope at the front are very distinctive.

In addition, the shape of the hem is unique.

The length is short in the front, but a little longer at the center front.

From there, the length gets shorter towards the sides and gradually gets longer towards the back hem.

This shirt also has a generous width, and feels a little boxier than the Clink Shirt.

As mentioned above, the fabric is hand-woven, but the pattern is created using a technique called hand-drawn discharge printing.

Moonsailor Trouser

face material _ SILK 50%,COTTON 50%

Lining material: 100% cotton

color _ PURPLE/BROWN

Next up is this.

The back of the trousers is very sharp around the hips, and the front has a single pleat, making these impressive trousers fully express the brand's mood.

The fabric is described as silk and cotton woven in England, but I think it's probably an original silk and wool jacquard.

The brief explanation I received from the brand when I ordered said that the fabric was silk and wool, and that the texture was exactly what you could only get from silk and wool, but for some reason the handwritten notes said it was 50% silk and 50% cotton.

Well, either way is fine.

Because it's a really cool fabric.

The fabric is relatively heavy, but it is fully lined with British cotton, so I think it will be perfect for Japan's cold seasons.

Well, they are impressive. These pants have some serious power.

These trousers are unique in that the angle of the cut at the back of the crotch is almost vertical, and the only pocket with a flap is located in a very strange position. Moreover, the dimensions of the pocket opening are quite small.

But when I put them on and stand in front of the mirror, "everything comes together."

Power piece.

Sedge Winter Jacket

Face material: 100% silk

lining material _ IRISH LINEN 100%

color _ BLACK SILK

Size: XS,S

Next is this.

A winter version of the Sedge Jacket.

The outer material is 100% British silk dobby stripe.

The lining is fully lined with 100% black Irish linen.

It has a stand-up collar and flap pockets which are distinctive details, and while our store also stocked items made from blue fabric from the previous collection, the details of this one are completely different.

The width of the stand-up collar is slightly smaller than before, and the way the collar stands when worn is completely different.

The body is still shaped, but the shape still creates a natural, boxy silhouette without any strain.

But it's well-defined and shaped.

The image is that it makes extensive use of curves to create a sleek box-like shape that looks good to others.

The cuffs have six original buttons.

Triple Pleat Trousers

Face material: 100% silk

Lining material: 100% cotton

color _ BLACK SILK

Size: XS,S

And these are the trousers that go with the Segde Winter Jacket mentioned above.

The outer fabric is a shiny silk stripe, but these super wide pants have ultra-powerful three tucks in the front and three tucks in the back.

The price of the set is commensurate with that, but it's easy to imagine how stunning it would look when paired with a warm winter sweater.

The inside is fully lined with cotton, so even though the outer material is silk, I think you can wear it comfortably in autumn and winter.

There is a double adjuster with a brass-based ring on the back.

This also creates a great contrast with the silk outer fabric.

Mazer Coat

Face material: 100% wool

Lining material: 100% cotton

Size: XS,S

Finally, two coats.

This is the most powerful coat from John Alexander Skelton, which we currently carry in our store.

It is also the longest coat we carry in our store.

A coat that reaches down to the ankles and completely covers you.

Not only is it long, but it also has a classic fitted design with high sleeves, a high waist, and a voluminous amount of fabric that is released all the way down to the hem.

I didn't take a photo of it, but the lining is British cotton lining, and both of the inside chest pockets on either side are Odaiba style.

It's not about the details, but the Odaiba tailoring with its crisp seams makes the quality of the stitching immediately apparent.

The outer fabric is 100% wool, slightly brushed British cavalry twill with a tight weave.

I can really feel the quality of the fabrics, which are reminiscent of good old Britain and can be passed down from generation to generation.

Stand collar, turn-up cuffs, waist belt.

It's an overwhelming mood, but not excessive, and it's a coat that blends in with the cityscape.

Roydon Coat

Face material: 100% wool

Lining material: 100% cotton

color _ PURPLE

Size: XS

And finally, this.

This coat has a cutaway front, meaning the hem hangs outwards.

I really love the cutaway front design, but it's rare that I come across clothes with a cutaway front.

Then he appeared as John Alexander Skelton.

The mood created by the cutaway front is a perfect match for what John Alexander Skelton creates.

Plus, with its stand-up collar and cut-away front, it's perfect for men's winter wear.

However, I couldn't imagine a larger person wearing this coat, so I only ordered it in size XS.

To begin with, I don't think there are many John Alexander Skelton clothes available in size XS, so I think that if you are someone who is suited to the size, you will really be able to appreciate the appeal of this coat.

The specifications are the same as the Mazer Coat mentioned above, with turn-up cuffs and full lining.

Although the size is not large, the outline of the clothes is drawn away from the body.

The fabric is a deep purple tweed that exudes traditional British charm.

I would like to be able to introduce the detailed specifications and structure of each piece of clothing in order, but since I was only able to do half of it during the last collection, I hope to explain as much as I can on this blog.

Although I didn't take any photos of this collection, in addition to clothes, they also sell suspenders.

Also, at this time some really cool clothes from BIEK VERSTAPPEN arrived from the Netherlands.

I think the concentrations on shelves are now quite high, so if you like it, be sure to check it out.
