COMOLI Moleskin and Denim/Leather Jackets

Hello!
This is Nakayama.
The recent weather and temperatures are starting to make it feel like winter.
Since I commute by motorcycle, I've already brought out my coat and gloves.
At such a time, COMOLI has a collection of perfect outerwear, so I'd like to introduce it to you.

These are the two types.
Both have a cotton outer fabric and a cotton lining.
As the product names suggest, moleskin and denim.
The lining for both is flannel.
So, they are all-cotton outerwear that will be useful in winter.
This is great.
And why is that?
And why is that, you ask?
Both care labels say MACHINE WASH COLD.
It's okay to wash them in the washing machine.
When washing, it's recommended to wash them separately.
There's no problem with the jackets themselves, but due to the characteristics of the fabric, fluff transfer or color transfer might occur, so it's best for the other laundry items.
Both are jacket types.
The zip short jacket has a length that properly covers the belt.
The work jacket has a length that reaches about the fingertips when your arms are hanging down.
Both jackets have similar features with a cotton outer fabric and cotton lining, but preferences might be quite divided.
Let's look at the details of each.
First, the Moleskin Zip Short Jacket.
Let's start by looking at the fabric.

Moleskin, named for its appearance similar to a mole's fur.
COMOLI's moleskin is characterized by its gentle, fine nap and substantial, resilient feel.
When you actually touch the clothing, it has a soft, chewy feel, partly due to the flannel lining.
The zipper, which is also in the product name, is naturally a point of interest.

A golden zipper shining in the center of the jet-black moleskin body.
Those who like vintage clothing might recognize the letters: "WALDES".
The zipper teeth are robust, and the pull tab is easy to grip, making it very smooth.
Personally, I also like the snap buttons on the waist adjuster.

Bronze-colored, exposed base metal.
Considering that moleskin fabric was originally frequently used in workwear, it makes perfect sense that undecorated snap buttons are attached, and it doesn't feel out of place at all.
That's why I like it.
As you may have already glimpsed, the stitching is also proper workwear specification.

Triple-stitched, robust construction.
While not a contrasting stitch and not very noticeable with black thread, the stitching specifications, along with the fabric and accessories, maintain a consistent design direction.
Looking at the details, it's definitely workwear, but when worn, it becomes a cool "everyday wear".

The length and the dimensional balance of each part are well-balanced to convey a rugged masculinity.
This impression also resonates with workwear.
COMOLI's approach to clothing, maintaining that impression while balancing the sizing and mood to suit modern times, is truly impressive in how it materializes such difficult concepts.
Next, the Denim/Leather Work Jacket.
Let's start by looking at the reason for "Denim/Leather."

Denim is the fabric.
Both warp and weft threads are black denim, and when seen in natural light, the fabric has a slight sheen.
Leather is on the collar.
It uses sheepskin, which has a natural lustrous appearance. The rounded collar tips also give a soft impression, naturally conveying the softness of the leather.
This is a new style of clothing for COMOLI.

Black sheepskin and black denim.
The different tones of black due to the material differences create a mysterious balance where they act as accents yet blend together.
The washed fabric and rounded collar tips also remove any harshness, making it feel somewhat gentle.
The Denim/Leather Work Jacket uses snap buttons for fastening.

Matte snap buttons with a carbon steel-like color.
These will gradually reveal their base metal's bronze color with repeated use.
Please enjoy that process as well.

The cuff buttons on the sleeves are also snap buttons.
Even so, this color blends well with black denim.
Oh, and the flannel lining.

With just the right amount of napping, it feels gentle against the skin.
It feels like wearing a thin boa between your outerwear and inner layer.
It's not as napped as a brushed lining, so I think it's just right for outerwear.
I've recently realized that overly warm outerwear can sometimes be difficult to use, as many people wear knitwear inside during winter.
The Denim/Leather Work Jacket is quite good for a casual style, worn loosely over a sweatshirt.

When worn, it has a subdued atmosphere and a different kind of allure than IRENISA.
The sheepskin collar certainly acts as an accent, but it's understated, and the rounded collar tips make it charmingly rustic.
The flannel lining gives the fabric a soft, fluffy appearance.
It's a jacket, but I think it functions very much like outerwear.
It also has an appearance that makes you want to wear it as the outermost layer.
Recently, with the rain in Okayama, the temperatures have become quite winter-like.
It's a change of season, so please take care of your health with outerwear.
If you're a fan of COMOLI outerwear, I hope you'll take a look.
*The Denim/Leather Work Jacket will be available for purchase online from November 3rd (Sunday).
