Olde H & Daughter Silk Socks

Hello!

I'm Nakayama from CASANOVA&CO.

Okayama, where we are based, has finally entered the rainy season.

Even today, as I write this blog, it rained in the morning, and the heat is humid.

I'm already bracing myself for the rising humidity.

Blonde hair is susceptible to humidity, and my hair gets all fluffy. I hate it!

So, before the full-on humidity sets in, I want my feet to feel dry and comfortable, which brings me to today's topic.

Introducing silk socks from Olde H & Daughter.

Olde H & Daughter

SILK RIB SOCKS

color _ RUBY,AQUARIUM,FLAMINGO,PETUNIA,DAHLIA

size _ 10

They're so colorful.

Why is it that the closer summer gets, the more excited we get when we see colorful things?

Perhaps it's because the sky is bluer in summer compared to other seasons?

I feel a strong sense of color in the scenery I see every day.

The beautiful color development of silk can stand up to such colorful scenery.

I think there are some of you who have seen them, or even own them already.

I am one of them.

Given the brand and the material, I feel like the comfort is self-explanatory.

So, I won't talk about the comfort.

As an attention point, if you are careful with how you wash them and the detergent you use, there will be no problem washing them at home.

When using detergent, always use a neutral detergent.

I tried washing them once with the Attack detergent I had at home, but it ruined the silk texture, making it rough and dry.

So, if you treat your socks with a little care when washing them, they will be happy.

The best way to wash them without damaging the texture is by hand.

For those who prefer an easier washing method, please use the gentlest cycle on your washing machine.

It's also safer to put them in a laundry net just in case.

Once the socks are dry, you can subtly add a splash of color as you like, or make them a prominent accent to your outfit.

From the vivid colors and the luster of the material, you can instantly tell that these are good socks.

As for me, I don't usually wear socks that are clearly visible.

However,

it's about those subtle moments, like a quick glimpse when I'm walking or tying my shoelaces, where it's unexpectedly stylish. It's the "what you can't see also matters" kind of thing.

I also find that sense of reassurance to be comforting.

I feel comfortable both in my feet and in my heart.

Finally, regarding the colors, we have a colorful selection of 5 shades.

RUBY

A bright red color with a luster and vibrancy like a ruby gemstone. The vivid red might seem casual because it's so common in things like gym hats and traffic cones, but the power of silk material gives it a refined and elegant impression.

Gemstones have their own meanings, and rubies are said to symbolize "love," "courage," and "victory," with an eternal flame believed to reside within their red hue.

This makes my inner shonen manga fan excited...

FLAMINGO

A pale pink color like that of a flamingo, which catches the eye at the zoo with its one-legged stance and feather color. It's a different shade from pastel colors, so men should wear them too.

Flamingo feathers are said to change color as red pigments from their food accumulate in them, so the vivid pink of FLAMINGO might mean it's a healthy color.

DAHLIA

Dahlia is a flower name. When I looked it up, there are yellow and red ones, but among them, purple is a very enchanting color. For me, subtly adding a touch of purple is a charming recommendation.

Since I also talked about gemstone meanings, here's a flower meaning: "dignity" and "majesty," and purple dahlias also include "gratitude."

PETUNIA

This is also a flower name, Petunia. In Japanese, it's also called "Tsukubane Asagao."

It's close to the blue (darker) of morning glories that you'll see from now on. It's a coloring extracted from a summer landscape.

The flower language of petunia is said to mean "peace of mind."

Blue petunias have the flower language "hesitation," which might seem negative, but for a normal person like me, I thought it was very human and nice.

Hesitation is a state where one's true feelings are smoldering but cannot be expressed due to some factor.

I think it's cool to grow and move forward little by little, even with that experience.

This is supposed to be about color, but it's straying into a completely different topic, and while I like such discussions, let's stop here.

Next is the last one.

AQUARIUM

Literally translated as "aquarium."

It's that color you feel when light streams into a large tank where big sharks and rays gracefully swim, leaving transparent trails of light that are neither exactly light blue nor emerald green. It has a cool and translucent coloring.

As the temperature rises, we can't help but wear lighter clothes, and these socks add a touch of accent and excitement.

I would be delighted if you could imagine various things, such as the color of your clothes or the color that suits you.

Choosing colors can be difficult, so by including personal sympathy and shared feelings, it seems to me that the joy of choosing from Olde H & Daughter's color palette increases.
